Careers Built the Clancy Way
At Clancy & Theys, our team is united by purpose and driven by our values of Safety, Stewardship, Passion, and Collaboration.
These aren’t just jobsite principles—they define how we treat each other, how we build relationships, and how we shape our future. This is what we mean when we say: Careers Built the Clancy Way.

Clancy Life
More Than a Job—It’s a Community
We know that great ideas and great leadership can come from anywhere. That’s why we encourage team members at all levels to get involved, grow their influence, and take ownership of our culture. Through The Clancy Way, we offer opportunities to engage in internal committees that go beyond your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Safety Committee – Advocating for safe practices across every project and workplace.
- Trade Partner Engagement – Supporting growth through our Economic Empowerment Program.
- Workforce Development – Investing in the next generation of builders.
- Clancy Academy – Helping smaller firms grow by providing information and connections to subject matter experts in the industry.
- Built to Lead Internship Program – Encouraging students to explore careers in construction through hands-on experience and mentorship.
We also understand that life doesn’t stop when the workday ends. That’s why we support our team both personally and professionally. Whether it’s stepping in when someone’s in a bind or helping align your career with your passions, we show up for each other—because that’s what it means to build Careers the Clancy Way.

A Foundation for Careers Built the Clancy Way
Real learning happens on real projects—and our Built to Lead Internship Program delivers just that. Designed to bridge classroom knowledge with on-the-ground experience, this program gives students a meaningful introduction to the construction industry. Interns work shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced teams and gain insight into multiple departments, including operations, preconstruction, and safety. Many return for multiple summers, and over 30 have transitioned into full-time roles with us. Whether you’re exploring your career path or ready to dive in, our internship program is one of the many ways we’re building Careers the Clancy Way.
The Interview process begins with the fall career fair season, with most interns hired by November for the next summer’s program. Here’s an idea of the timeframe:
