From our President to our project managers and support staff, every member of our team is passionate about delivering the highest quality results to our clients, colleagues, and communities while building lasting relationships with our partners. As President, Baker is responsible for managing and growing Clancy & Theys in meaningful ways across the Southeast. Baker grew up in a construction family and has over two decades of experience, including a background working in the field, as well as in the office as a project manager, project executive, and a director of operations. He is experienced in all aspects of construction. During his 20+ years with Clancy & Theys, he’s been directly involved in many signature projects including the Durham Imperial Tower, Raleigh Union Station, and the Smoky Hollow Development.
Baker is a hands-on leader who spends time working on all aspects of the day-to-day business. He is committed to finding ways to improve efficiency internally while also working to create the best possible experience for clients, trade partners, and the design community. Baker has spearheaded efforts to make Clancy & Theys an industry leader in all aspects of construction technology. He is always working towards the goal of “One Clancy” across all six of Clancy & Theys locations while still keeping a focus on the most important aspect of the business: the employees.
Baker is committed to giving back to his community in any way he can. He is Vice Chair of the NC State Building Commission, serves on the executive board of the Raleigh Chamber, and leads the effort that makes Clancy & Theys the most philanthropic construction company in the state of NC. When he’s not at work, you’ll likely find him hanging out with his family, spending time outside, or playing golf.
Becky Carter joined Clancy & Theys after graduating with a business degree from NC State. She served as the company’s corporate secretary. In 2019, Becky was promoted to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Her long tenure evidences her dedication to the company. Throughout her time, she has built a team of financial professionals who work alongside each of our divisions.
Becky has served with the Triangle Chapter of CFMA for many years, in roles as a program chair, Vice President, President, and currently as a Board member of the organization. She is married with a college-age son. There’s always a happy dog or two in their family, and she enjoys time with family and friends, most especially on the coast of North Carolina at Kure Beach.
Tick Clancy is an owner and an Executive Vice President for Clancy & Theys Construction Company, a family-owned corporation his father and uncle co-founded. He has 45 years of experience. Tick and his brother, Tim Clancy, took over leadership in 1986. During this period, the company added four divisional offices and increased its sales volume more than tenfold. In 2021 upon his brother’s retirement, Tick became Chairman of the Board, and along with President Baker Glasgow, continues to oversee the growth of the organization.
In addition to his leadership, Tick is still a builder at heart and project manages some of the company’s most challenging projects. He is a tremendous advocate of giving back to the communities where we live and work. He is also an avid fan and supporter of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Carolina Hurricanes.
As Supplier Diversity Specialist (SDS), Debra is dedicated to ensuring the successful execution of the company-wide Diversity and Inclusion goals for our projects. She is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing diversity outreach efforts across the organization’s regional offices. As SDS, Debra is responsible for monthly reporting of progress towards meeting our MWBE project goals while ensuring compliance with state and local government guidelines. Debra is also Co-Chair of C&T’s internal DE&I council.
Debra is no stranger to the area of inclusion. She holds a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Social Sciences – Fordham University, NY. She is a CICNY Award recipient (The Catholic Interracial Council of New York) for her work in advancing social justice and equity. Debra is eager to keep abreast of external diversity and inclusion initiatives, always researching and seeking information that will drive change and sharing best practices with Leadership to help the DE&I strategy. Debra believes in advocating and is an active member of several organizations that foster inclusion within the communities of NC.
Passionate about community engagement, Debra continually focuses on building new vendor relationships. She collaborates with potential MWSBE partners, helping them become certified and or credentialed with MBE and Small Business government registrations. Debra partners with minority firms that are looking to grow their businesses. She firmly believes in training and educating individuals to navigate what may be perceived as obstacles or barriers to inclusivity.
You might find her walking the shore at Myrtle Beach with her granddaughter outside of work. She loves spending time with family, traveling, and being outdoors.
Kelsey serves as Controller of Clancy & Theys. Before joining Clancy & Theys, Kelsey worked in PwC’s audit practice and served many private companies in the Northeast and Southeast regions. Kelsey is a licensed CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boston University.
Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good book, and watching sports of all kinds.
Sara is Senior Director of Corporate Marketing and oversees the marketing team. She is a detailed-oriented, results-driven professional, who has been cultivating relationships throughout the Carolinas since 2003. Sara has been a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services since 2003. She was recognized as a Fellow in 2023, earned her CPSM in 2009, and has served on the SMPS Charlotte board in numerous roles, including President in 2012. In addition, Sara is on the board of the Construction Professionals Network (CPN), past chair of the ULI NEXT committee, and past chair of the ABC Explorers Club.
As a Charlotte native, Sara is active in the community and serves on the boards of the Charlotte ToolBank and the Matthews Help Center. She is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte Class 41. In 2020, she was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Mecklenburg County by The Mecklenburg Times. In 2022, she was honored by ABC Carolinas as the Workforce Development Champion of the Year, and in 2023, CPN recognized her involvement with the Kurt Ryback Memorial Service Award.
Sara has a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications from Elon University. She is currently pursuing her Master in Business Administration from Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When she is not working or studying, she is enjoying time with her husband, son and their two crazy rescue pups.
Nikki Edmonds is Clancy & Theys’ corporate Employee Experience and Work Culture Manager. She is dedicated to enhancing the workplace environment and fostering positive employee engagement. As an Employee Experience Manager, she brings a wealth of expertise in creating an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative workplace culture. Nikki holds an HSM degree from East Carolina University and has more than 15 years’ experience in people management.
Nikki is well-versed in designing and implementing initiatives that prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of employees. She understands the critical role that employee experience plays in overall organizational success and is committed to crafting strategies that align with the company’s values and goals.
Passionate about creating a workplace where employees feel valued, Nikki champions diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at Clancy & Theys. She believes in fostering a sense of belonging among employees, understanding that a positive employee experience contributes to higher productivity, better teamwork, and increased organizational success. She enjoys volunteering her time to many community organizations in the Raleigh area. She is a member of the Young Professional Network within the Raleigh Metro Chapter of the Society for Human Resources and an active member of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction).
When Nikki is not at work, you’ll likely find her on the NC coast spending time with her husband, son, and the family dog. She loves to travel abroad to learn about new cultures, traditions, lifestyles, history, and culinary cuisines. She enjoys making new connections around the globe.
As the Corporate Environmental, Health, & Safety Director, David Maggio is responsible for developing and overseeing the company’s EH&S policies and procedures. He plays a fundamental role in cultivating a safety-conscious culture, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and mitigating risks associated with construction activities. With more than 14 years of experience, he has become a trusted leader and mentor in promoting and implementing comprehensive safety and health programs that prioritize the well-being of employees and the overall success of construction projects. With a solid foundation in safety management, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for fostering a secure working environment, David plays a pivotal role in shaping the safety landscape within Clancy & Theys and the construction industry. David is an active member of the Carolina AGC and serves on their Education and Safety Committees, respectively. He also serves on the ABC of the Carolinas Safety Committee.
David also has a strong passion for service to the people of his community. He serves on the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish of Eastern North Carolina.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental & Health Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). When he is not working, David likes to work on classic cars and loves spending time with his wife, two kids, and their dog.
As Talent Development Manager, Holly serves as a corporate resource to support the talent needs of our six divisions and implements comprehensive training programs and content for all employees. She is instrumental in enhancing employees’ professional development beyond their daily responsibilities.
With an extensive background in Human Resources, Holly boasts a remarkable 20-year career dedicated to fostering organizational success through effective people management and culture curation. She joined the Clancy & Theys team in 2008 as the Virginia Division’s Office Manager. Holly has been a steady force throughout her tenure, contributing to nearly every facet of the company. Her appointment as Talent Development Manager is a testament to her deep understanding of the company’s intricacies and a recognition of her invaluable contributions.
Outside of work, Holly enjoys pursuits that fuel her creative spirit. Raised in a military family, she developed a profound love for travel and is an avid crafter and painter.
Harry McKinney is a national leader in the BIM “world.” In addition to his work at Clancy & Theys, he mentors, teaches, and writes on the subject. Harry has orchestrated our company’s processes so that we have staff and subcontractors collaborating in-house to solve construction challenges virtually before they become an issue in the field. Harry oversees the development of the federated construction model, clash detection and coordination, and the company’s deployment of field communication technologies.
Sean Quinn joined the Charlotte division of Clancy & Theys in 2022. He was brought on as a project executive for healthcare and life sciences and quickly promoted to Director of Operations and, most recently, Division Manager.
As Division Manager, he oversees and directs construction operations in Charlotte and supports Clancy & Theys’ continued strategic growth. He is integral in strategic planning, execution, and team development for the Charlotte division.
Sean is an accomplished leader with extensive knowledge of large-scale healthcare, mixed-use, education, and multifamily projects. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Building Construction, Construction Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction.
As Director of Preconstruction for the Charlotte Division, Don guides the preconstruction process for all Clancy & Theys projects. Throughout his construction career, Don has been a superintendent, project manager, estimator, senior estimator, and preconstruction manager.
Detailed conceptual estimates and construction schedules for complex projects are Don’s specialty. From massive medical facilities and hospitals to thrilling beachfront resort hotels, his skills and ability to connect with trade partners have shaped several successful projects at their earliest stages.
On the weekends, Don loves to cook new dishes and play golf.
Jen is the Director of Project Development for the Charlotte division. She has over 16 years of business experience in strategically building relationships and brand awareness by creatively marketing diverse service lines across multiple market sectors, nationally and internationally. She has been a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services since 2013, earning her CPSM in 2016 and serving on the SMPS Charlotte board in numerous roles, including President in 2016. In addition, Jen is chair of the conference committee for the Construction Professionals Network (CPN), past chair of the SMPS Southeastern Regional Conference advisory board, and serves on committees with ULI Charlotte, ULI Rethinking Southern Cities Regional Initiative Council, NCEDA, Central SC Alliance, and TreesCharlotte.
As a Charlotte native, Jen is active in Carolina Voices, singing and leading their marketing and communications directives. She frequently speaks to industry groups on AEC marketing and business development educational topics.
Jen has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her dog Mr. Ben, singing karaoke, and traveling the globe whenever possible.
As Vice President and Virginia Division Manager, Chad provides support to the entire project team to ensure they have what they need to succeed. His career spans over two decades within the company, and his elevation to this leadership role is a testament to his longstanding commitment to the firm and his demonstrated history of success and expertise.
After spending six years serving our country in the Army, Chad was honorably discharged and joined Clancy & Theys as an assistant project manager. During the 20 years he has been with Clancy & Theys, he has risen through the ranks in project management and has been involved with some of the firm’s most logistically challenging projects.
His commitment to fostering relationships has significantly contributed to Clancy & Theys’ regional growth and prominence. He has been directly involved in projects totaling nearly $1B in revenue for the company, including the Summit Pointe Mixed-Use Community in Chesapeake, VA, the Monticello Station Apartments in Norfolk, VA, the Wells Fargo Center Office Tower in Norfolk, VA, the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, VA, and Dollar Tree’s Corporate Office Tower in Chesapeake, VA. For over a decade, he has also led the firm’s Dollar Tree Distribution Center projects across the country, totaling millions of square feet. His pivotal role in steering the Dollar Tree distribution center projects solidified Clancy & Theys’ foothold in the region and evolved the account into one of the firm’s largest.
Chad also actively supports the future of our industry through his involvement with the Associated General Contractors of Virginia (AGCVA). He is one of only two representatives from the Peninsula District who serves on the Board of Directors.
Beyond his career, Chad is known for his dedication to the community and his family. He volunteers locally, particularly with the local food banks, including Thrive and Foodbank Peninsula, and enjoys attending his children’s basketball, baseball, and softball games.
As Vice President, Dean is responsible for all construction operations in Clancy & Theys’ Virginia Division and supports the entire project team to ensure they have what they need to succeed. He has more than four decades of diverse commercial construction management experience, including positions as an estimator and project manager. His experience includes overseeing many of our office’s renovations and healthcare projects.
During his more than 30-year tenure with Clancy & Theys, Dean has overseen some of the company’s most challenging projects. Prior to his leadership role, his successful management of dozens of the company’s hospitality projects helped solidify Clancy & Theys’ unmatched reputation within the Hampton Roads region for delivering fast-track projects on time and within budget—a reputation that continues today.
Outside of work, Dean enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his alma mater, the NC State Wolfpack.
As Preconstruction Manager for the Virginia Division, Michael Hellmann is responsible for leading the preconstruction team, as well as bidding, estimating, and providing comprehensive preconstruction services. He is a seasoned preconstruction professional who has spent the last two decades of his career with Clancy & Theys. Throughout his tenure, Michael has enjoyed estimating because every day presents new challenges since no two projects are the same. Michael’s decades of experience estimating a wide range of projects is essential in developing realistic budgets and schedules for our projects.
Most Clancy & Theys Virginia Division’s construction projects require extensive preconstruction efforts, such as planning, scheduling, estimating, and value engineering. Michael provides preliminary and final cost estimating, value analysis, bid packages, material and system costs evaluation, and constructability reviews. He is also responsible for communicating the budget associated with the designed scopes as they progress and ensure they remain within the established GMP.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family.
As Director of Project Development, Chris plays a vital role in expanding our reach in the rapidly growing Virginia markets. With a decade-long tenure in construction, Chris has been involved in multiple facets of the industry. His diverse background reflects a deep understanding of the construction process, project management, and business development.
A graduate of Virginia Military Institute (VMI) with a degree in biology, Chris transitioned seamlessly into the construction sector, showcasing his adaptability and commitment to his career. During college, he engaged in an impactful internship with a local civil construction company, spanning three years, where he served as a project management Intern. This experience sparked his passion for the construction industry and laid the foundation for his seven-year tenure with the company, including time in project management and a pivotal role in business development. Since joining Clancy & Theys in 2021, he has been essential to strengthening our existing relationships while forging new ones. His unwavering dedication and commitment to building relationships are unmistakable.
Throughout his career, Chris has actively participated in various industry associations, such as the Associated Builders and Contractors’ Virginia Chapter (ABCVA), the Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate (HRACRE), the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE), and the Hampton Roads Alliance, underscoring his commitment to professional development and community engagement.
Chris is known outside the office for his commitment to his family and the community. As an auxiliary member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), he is dedicated to supporting and honoring veterans. In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and nephew, coaching, and playing a round of golf.
As Vice President and Florida Division Manager, Bill Zecher is passionate about leading his team and providing clients with an exceptional construction experience.
With more than 30 years of experience leading efforts in pre-construction and estimating services, he provides clients throughout Central Florida with unparalleled experience. In 1991, Bill graduated from State University of New York with an Associate of Science in Construction Engineering and began his career working with Clancy & Theys in 1996.
Since 2002, Bill Zecher has led the Clancy & Theys Orlando Division in preconstruction services, value analysis, trade development, and relationship building. Bill’s approach to cost control, particularly during the preconstruction and design phase, requires intensive preconstruction efforts. Bill utilizes accurate cost modeling to plan project preconstruction, and his subcontractor relationships are a key part of his success.
Bill’s passion led him to become the Vice President of the Orlando Division in 2016. It is in this foundation of stewardship, collaboration, and passion that Bill can serve clients with an incomparable experience: that’s the Clancy Way.
Outside of work, Bill is passionate about volunteering. He has coached youth hockey since 2005.
As Director of Preconstruction, Chad Monroe leads the Orlando preconstruction team with a passion for fostering collaboration and nurturing strong, enduring relationships. With over 18 years of industry experience, Chad is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of providing best-in-class preconstruction services to the Florida market.
Graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Construction Management, Chad has honed his expertise in preconstruction and project management, ensuring seamless coordination and successful execution of complex projects. His dedication to excellence and strategic vision has led to the completion of numerous high-profile projects.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chad is a devoted family person who enjoys spending quality time with his loved ones and coaching youth sports.
As Vice President, Jeff Mock leads the Florida Division in strategic planning and business development. For more than two decades, he has dedicated his passion for services to the construction management industry.
As a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Jeff began his career with Clancy & Theys Construction Company as a project manager in 1996 in Raleigh, NC. Over his 27 years of dedicated service, Jeff quickly rose to his position as a leader in business development and operations. His dedication to ensuring excellent client satisfaction makes him the ideal executive responsible for leading this thriving industry.
Today, Jeff leads the firm’s senior living market serving as a project executive on many of the company’s large-scale senior living projects. He serves on the Westminster Communities of Florida Board as Chair of the Central Regional Committee and the Governance Committee, the Valencia College Foundation board as Chair of the Finance Committee, Board Chair for the Education Foundation of Osceola County, and is a member of several organizations in Florida, including, ABC Central Florida, Orlando BUILT, LeadingAge Florida Southeast, ASHA, and First Baptist Church of Orlando.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, hitting the golf course with his son, and giving back to his local community.
As Vice President and Raleigh Division Manager, Fleming Herring is committed to growing Clancy & Theys’ influence in the greater Raleigh and North Carolina markets. With a background in operations in various project management and subsequent leadership roles, Fleming has overseen the construction of several marquee projects such as the Bell Tower Development in Chapel Hill, Park Central at North Hill, the Smoky Hollow Development, the Tower at The Cardinal North Hills, The Seaboard Station Development and the 301 Hillsborough Street Office Building amongst others. He has been directly involved in over $1B worth of project revenue for Clancy & Theys.
Well versed in construction techniques and technologies, Fleming is also a qualifier for the Clancy & Theys general contracting license. He is a resourceful and flexible leader who is focused on meeting business goals and equipping his employees with everything they need to succeed. He has spearheaded efforts to formalize our internship program and our CLASS program where we encourage our employees to engage in professional development training, accreditations, and initiatives.
He is an active member of the Edenton Street United Methodist Church where he serves on the Board of Trustees and enjoys dedicating time outside of work volunteering for great organizations such as the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC. When he’s not at work, Fleming spends most of his time with his wife and three kids while trying to still spend some time in the woods hunting or on the water fishing.
As Vice President, Preconstruction, John Andras is highly skilled in construction management, feasibility studies, project planning, and more. He has been providing invaluable preconstruction expertise to Clancy & Theys for nearly thirty years.
His work requires intensive preconstruction efforts that utilize a team approach to design and construction. John’s contributions furnish cost-saving ideas and constructability reviews as early as the conceptual stage of the project. He has led preconstruction efforts on some of Clancy & Theys’ largest mixed-use projects, including the Smoky Hollow Development, an urban, mixed-use development in downtown Raleigh. He has also led preconstruction on high-profile projects such as the Seaboard Station Development, the 301 Hillsborough Office Building, the Nature Research Center, and The City of Raleigh’s Central Communication Center, an emergency communications center containing a 911 call center, traffic control center, emergency operations center, and the City of Raleigh data center.

As the Vice President of Project Development, Matt Chambers is committed to achieving project success for every client Clancy & Theys works with. His focus is on the Triangle market, and he assists all Clancy & Theys divisions with strategic business planning and implementation.
Raised in Eastern NC, Matt has over 25 years of construction industry experience, including time spent as a subcontractor and construction manager. During his career, he’s held many responsibilities: operations, management, business development, safety, marketing, and diversity efforts. Throughout his different roles, he’s always prioritized building meaningful relationships and helping his clients succeed.
Matt is passionate about giving back to and working within his community to enact positive change. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute serving on the DEI Committee and Chair of the Membership Committee. He also serves on the William Peace University Foundation Board of Directors and Wake County Economic Development Board. In addition, he represents the Carolinas AGC on the North Carolina AIA/CAGC Joint Committee, providing recommendations to the State of North Carolina to assist in improving the construction industry. That’s not all, however: Matt’s complete list of organizational memberships and community involvement initiatives is simply too long to list here.

As Vice President and Upstate Division Manager, Brandon is passionate about growing Clancy & Theys’ impact in the South Carolina market by tackling the most challenging projects and growing the best teams.
A civil engineering graduate of Clemson University, Brandon started his career in construction 26 years ago as a project manager traveling the country building hospitals and academic medical centers. He and his wife moved to Greenville in 2014 to focus on higher education, commercial, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing market sectors. Since then, he has led significant projects at BMW, County Square, Prisma Health, and Piedmont Health.
Brandon is an active member of the local community as Past Chair of the Pendleton Place board of directors, an alumnus of Leadership Greenville Class 46, a member of the Clemson Honors College Advisory Board, and a guest lecturer in Clemson’s Department of Construction Science.
Outside of work, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also enjoys history, snow skiing, golf, and backyard sports with his son.
As Vice President, Project Development & Operations, Matthew Praytor is highly skilled in developing relationships and pursuing exceptional client outcomes.
Matthew graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a degree in Managerial Economics and is a lifetime resident of Greenville. Matthew is passionate about growing his local community and is a member of the City of Greenville Board of Zoning Appeals. He has spent his entire 25-year career building in the Upstate as a carpenter, an assistant superintendent, a superintendent, project manager, and project executive. . Matthew has K12, higher education, healthcare, commercial/mixed-use, aquatic, and cultural experience.
Matthew lives in Greenville with his wife and daughter and enjoys being outside working in the yard, playing golf, or whatever else can be done outdoors.
As Vice President and Wilmington Division Manager, Michael Goodson is passionate about growing Clancy & Theys’ impact in the greater Wilmington region.
Michael began his career working in residential and light commercial construction while in High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston Massachusetts; a nationally ranked top 10 Construction Management program. Post-graduation Michael worked for a Massachusetts based contractor working regionally and also traveling to complete projects as far as California, Arizona and New York.
In 2015, Michael relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina after being recruited by Clancy & Theys. During his career, Michael gained valuable experience working on a variety of unique projects across the United States. This experience with different markets, regional design characteristics, subcontractors, clients and municipalities has provided him with a skillset to communicate and manage projects effectively and creatively at Clancy & Theys.
Michael is dedicated to personal development, and to giving back to the greater Wilmington community. He’s completed several leadership programs including Dale Carnegie and FMI Leadership Institute, he is a LEED Accredited Professional, is a member of Wilmington Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional Advisory Council and Vice President of the Wilmington Contractor’s Association. When he’s not at work, Michael enjoys volunteering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and spending time with his family.
Zach Cromer is the Vice President, Director of Preconstruction for Clancy & Theys’ Wilmington division. Zach began working in construction as a teenager gaining hands on experience in plumbing, mechanical, electrical and framing on both residential and commercial projects. While working full time, Zach graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management with a Minor in Business Administration further enhancing his knowledge of all facets of the commercial construction industry.
Since 2011, Zach has led the evolution of the Wilmington division’s preconstruction department. He has a breadth of experience in multiple delivery methods, including design-assist, design build, public construction manager at-risk, private negotiated “team-build”, and public and private single prime bid. He is an expert in constructability reviews, cost modeling, value management, sequencing, and logistics. Zach is at his best when he can partner early with owners, designers, and engineers. He is passionate about developing teams, building partnerships with all stakeholders on a project, and shepherding a project from concept to contract. He believes this collaboration and partnership is key to a successful construction at-risk relationship and ultimately successful project for all parties involved.
Zach was instrumental in working to modernize the preconstruction department and helped integrate operations and VDC into the preconstruction process. His philosophy and ethos has led to many long-standing client relationships.
Zach has a rich and fulfilling life outside of work, with a strong focus on family and community involvement. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two children. He has spent over a decade coaching and being involved in youth sports such as soccer, basketball, flag football, and Pop Warner football which can have a significant impact on the development of young individuals. Zach’s commitment to promoting positive influences in recreational sports reflects a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those he interacts with, both on and off the field.
As the Director of Project Development, Ryan Bisplinghoff strives to create long-term, positive growth for both Clancy & Theys and the greater Wilmington community.
Ryan has cultivated state-wide business relationships over the past 15 years, with almost a decade tied to a growing Wilmington business scene. During this time, Ryan has positioned himself as an up-and-coming leader in the Wilmington community. Not only is his experience an asset to business development, but his passion for the Wilmington area also makes him an ideal partner for ensuring long-term, positive growth. Ryan’s creativity, forward-thinking attitude, meticulous eye for detail, and his successful track record are a tremendous asset to the entire Clancy & Theys team. Ryan is active in many community, philanthropic and professional organizations, including Wrightsville United Methodist Church, YMCA of Southeastern NC, N.C. Bar Association, Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, NCAGC, ABC of the Carolinas, and ULI.
Prior to joining Clancy & Theys, Ryan practiced law for one of the fastest growing law firms on the East Coast. Ryan practiced in Raleigh for 8 years before opening a Wilmington office for the firm in 2014. Thus beginning a seven-year run as managing partner, where he grew the location to nine attorneys and almost double the support staff. During this same period, Ryan’s team significantly increased their revenue at a steady rate through creative marketing, business development, and client engagement initiatives.
When he’s not at work, Ryan is probably chasing his three young daughters around. He also enjoys traveling with family and friends, golfing, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
As Director of Operations, Joe Rider’s focus is to align project management and field operations to the strategic vision set forth by the Division and the Company as a whole. Other responsibilities include risk mitigation, formulation and implementation of policies/procedures, promoting efficiency/profitability, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Joe entered the construction industry full time in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University. Since then, Joe has taken pride in his diverse portfolio. He has successfully managed project types consisting of higher education, life and health sciences, senior living, office buildings, religious, hospitality, entertainment/recreation, marine work, historic renovations, public projects, and multi-family. This diversity allows his ability to provide value and find commonalties between numerous project types of work that Clancy & Theys is actively pursuing and under construction.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys being outdoors, playing sports, spending time with his wife and two daughters, and enjoying the beautiful coastal waters of Southeastern North Carolina, whether surfing, fishing, or boating.
