Clancy & Theys Construction Company provided construction management on Carol Woods Retirement Community. Clancy & Theys constructed two major projects for Carol Woods Retirement Community, an accredited, not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community nestled on 120 wooded acres in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The first added 11 buildings to the campus: six independent living duplexes totaling 20,000 sq ft, a 1,400 sq ft multi-purpose building, a 19,000 sq ft intergenerational facility consisting of 2 cluster homes for Alzheimer’s patients, a social lounge, and a resident association building, and a 2,000 sq ft addition to the existing dining center.
A decade later, Clancy & Theys returned to provide renovations and additions to enhance programs including social living, aquatics and fitness, crafting and woodworking, healthcare, and dining. Living areas were also upgraded in the assisted living and independent living housing.
All of our work at Carol Woods has been completed while the community remained occupied.
