Clancy & Theys Construction Company provided Construction Manager at Risk services for the three-story, 52,000 SF building on the University of Central Florida’s (UCF) main campus on Memory Mall. This building houses the Global UCF program, which provides international students with opportunities to study at UCF.
The first floor comprises administration offices, meeting rooms, faculty offices, and four classrooms. The second floor contains additional offices and nine classrooms. The third floor consists of eight classrooms. The building also includes an active student concourse that gives students six informal collaboration and study areas.
The mechanical system includes a chilled beam system, the first at UCF. The chilled beam air conditioning system controls competently and quietly cools the space by the space. The technology is four times more efficient than traditional systems. The team also installed a rooftop solar system supplying dehumidification.
