Keene’s Crossing Elementary School

Overview

Clancy & Theys Construction Company provided Construction Management at Risk services to Keene’s Crossing Elementary School. This project consisted of a two-story, 99,000 SF elementary school prototype designed by SchenkelShultz Architecture.

The new facility includes classrooms, 838 student stations, art and music suites, a kitchen, a multi-purpose/dining area, and administrative offices. The building structure comprises conventional spread footing foundations, load-bearing tilt-wall panels, and a structural steel frame. The building envelope comprises textured coated tilt-wall panels, a storefront, aluminum-framed windows, a curtain wall, and a single-ply roof membrane over lightweight insulating concrete.

This prototype elementary school is located on a 13.5-acre site in southwest Orange County. The site development included the construction of a bus loop, parking lot, parent drop-off lane, play fields, outdoor activity areas, and site utilities.
