Clancy & Theys Construction Company was awarded the La Posada Wellness Center project as the Construction Manager at Risk. As an active, occupied senior living facility, phasing and project management were critical to maintaining Life Safety and minimizing disruption to current operations.
The project consisted of a new 3,500 SF, single-story wellness center addition built adjacent to the existing pool. To clear space for the new facility, an existing structure and courtyard area needed to be demolished. The new wellness center contains fitness rooms, restroom facilities, an upgraded pool equipment area, and office spaces. Hardscape and landscaping improvements enhanced the space and environment for residents.
This addition was a logistics challenge, as construction was located in the center of the active La Posada community, directly adjacent to a retention pond. The success of this project exemplified Clancy & They’s dedication to communication, project management, and experience.
