The Lake Prince Woods EveryAge Community Wellness Center project encompassed the construction of a new 17,780 SF Wellness Center and the renovation of the existing independent living commons at the Lake Prince Woods retirement community in Suffolk. The new Wellness Center features multiple fitness spaces, a salon, a massage area, a clinic, an art room, resident services, and a residents’ store. Additionally, a 1,650 SF porte-cochere was added to the southwest entrance, enhancing the facility’s accessibility. The renovation included updates to the resident commons, toilets, salon, and the Portsmouth Room. The common area, approximately 8,570 SF, included the reception area, a pub/billiards area, a private dining room, and a library. The project also had significant site work components, including the building pad of the addition, a BMP expansion, and offsite waterline infrastructure.
The construction predominantly utilized wood framing, with structural steel incorporated where necessary. The façade featured siding and brick, complemented by high-end interior finishes to create a modern aesthetic. Noteworthy features included undulating ceilings, resilient flooring, and thoughtfully selected paints and wall coverings.
