Overview

Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park is located on a former industrial 6.63-acre site in downtown Wilmington. The urban park fulfills a long-held goal of providing sizable green space for residents, employees, and visitors to downtown Wilmington.

The park features a first-class performance venue with a 62-foot wide by 55-foot deep fixed stage, state-of-the-art sound system, 2,800 SF artist wing, back-of-the-house motor coach connection capabilities, extensive fiber-optic-based video infrastructure, capacity for 1,983 temporary fixed seats, and 8,017-person lawn capacity.

Additional park features include nearly one mile of trails/sidewalks/boardwalk, 13,000 SF of garden area, 80,500 SF of open lawn space, a pedestrian promenade/entrance, a splash plaza, hardscape plaza, food and beverage concession facilities, office space for park staff, restrooms, connections to the existing Riverwalk, children’s play area and various other park amenities. Site work also included the extension of the Old Front Street right-of-way, grading, utility work, and stormwater management. The parcel is part of a brownfield agreement.
