Onslow County Courthouse Expansion

Overview

Clancy & Theys Construction Company was the General Contractor for the Onslow County Courthouse expansion, a project that significantly enhanced the county’s judicial facilities. This expansive development included new construction and extensive renovations to the Register of Deeds and Courthouse.

The expansion introduced a new four-story, 58,000 SF building designed to meet the growing needs of the courthouse and surrounding areas. In addition to the new structure, approximately 12,000 SF of the existing facility underwent renovation to improve functionality and modernize its design.

Key features of the project included the creation of new courtrooms and updated offices for judges, district attorneys, and other essential personnel. The facility also incorporated enhanced security measures, including state-of-the-art features and newly designed jail holding cells, ensuring the safety of the public and the staff.

Clancy & Theys worked closely with stakeholders throughout the project, delivering a highly functional, secure, and modernized courthouse complex that serves the needs of Onslow County’s growing community.
