Overview
Clancy & Theys Construction Company was awarded the Tangelo Park Elementary School replacement project as the Construction Manager at Risk.
The project included demolishing the existing campus and building the new 70,000 SF, two-story prototype building on an occupied campus. The school consists of classrooms, skills/resource labs, art, music, administration, a kitchen, a dining/multi-purpose room, a media center, and support spaces.
The site work included improvements such as new bus loops, playgrounds, sports areas, retention ponds, and parking. The building structure included conventional spread footing foundations, load-bearing tilt-wall panels, a structural steel frame, and low-slope flat roofs.
