Clancy & Theys’ Wilmington office has teamed up with Nourish NC for the companywide fall food drive. They will be taking donations through October 29th to help fight childhood food insecurity in New Hanover County.
1 in 4 children in New Hanover County struggle with hunger, and nearly half of all children in the county qualify for free and reduced school lunch. Food insecurity can lead to a number of problems, including increased likelihood for chronic illness and weakened immune systems, poor academic performance, and higher levels of behavioral and emotional issues.
Nourish NC is a non-profit organization based in Wilmington that provides hungry children with healthy food, empowering them to succeed in the classroom and in their community. Any items donated will go directly to feed hungry children in New Hanover County.
You can contribute by bringing non-perishable food items to one of our drop-off locations: Clancy & Theys Wilmington Office, Midtown Park at Barclay C&T Jobsite, Live Oak Bank III C&T Jobsite, Aloft Hotel C&T Jobsite or the Onslow County Courthouse C&T Jobsite. The food bank is especially in need of:
- Cereal/granola/oatmeal
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Canned pasta with meat
- Vegetable cups
- Pasta and pasta sauce
- Beef stew and hearty soups
- Go Go Yogurtz
- Pudding cups
- Clif Bars, Kind Bars or Kashi Bars
