In honor of the #GivingTuesdayNow movement, we’re proud to share our work with the Meals for Heroes in Wilmington, North Carolina. In an ongoing effort, Meals for Heroes partnered with New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) to create a drive-thru “Gratitude Lane,” which raises funds to serve 100 meals per day to hospital employees on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meals for Heroes funds are distributed to nurses, police stations, home healthcare workers, and others in the community via gift cards and meal deliveries from local restaurants who are also impacted by the virus. In the case of NHRMC, food trucks are made available in a drive-thru lane for employees due to food delivery restrictions.
Clancy & Theys provided and distributed smoothies from Smoothie King, Bundlets from Nothin’ Bundt Cakes, and popcorn from Midtown Pop. To learn more about donating to the Meals for Heroes initiative and participating in Gratitude Lane, visit the group’s GoFundMe page.
