Clancy & Theys Construction Company’s summer internship program has officially started. These 12 students will spend their summer gaining hands-on experience in the field and office to prepare them for careers in the construction industry. Our team is looking forward to serving as mentors and teaching our interns the Clancy Way.
Please join us in welcoming the following students to the Clancy & Theys team:
Alexander Amend
Alexander is majoring in Construction Management at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and will be graduating in spring 2022. He will join our Smokey Hollow Phase 2 team in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Kassie Bartkovich
Kassie is entering her junior year at the University of South Florida and is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Kassie, who chose to study engineering to gain experience through the various opportunities of the A/E/C industry, will join our Orlando office. She enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time outdoors with friends and has her scuba license.
Drew Kraemer
Drew is a Construction Management major at the University of Florida. He just finished his sophomore year and will work in our Orlando office. Drew enjoys spending his free time hiking and camping.
Joe Livesay
Joe is returning to our Wilmington office this summer after interning with us in 2019. He is a senior at East Carolina University and will work at the Flats on Front project.
Evan Manning
Evan previously attended Cape Fear Community College and transferred to East Carolina University as a junior. He will work on 17 Social, a multi-family project in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Olivia Nelson
Olivia, a returning intern in our Wilmington office, is a rising junior at East Carolina University. She will split her time between estimating and working in the field on the Aloft Hotel project.
Pantelis Poulos
Pantelis is a rising senior at East Carolina University. He will work at the North Waterfront Park project in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Alan Rivera
Alan is a Construction Management major at Wake Technical Community College. He will intern as a field superintendent on the Rigsbee Apartments project in Durham, North Carolina.
Matthew Shields
Matthew is a rising senior at East Carolina University and is majoring in Construction Management. He will be serving as a field and project management intern on the South Piedmont Community College project in Monroe, NC.
Preston Skinner
Preston, a Construction Management major at East Carolina University, is returning for his third summer as an intern. He is previously worked on the Peace and Smoky Hollow Phase 2 projects and will spend this summer as a filed superintendent intern at the 301 Hillsborough project in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Travis Snyder
Travis is expected to graduate from North Carolina State University this fall with a degree in Civil Engineering. He will be a project management intern on the West Millbrook Middle School project in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Riley Summers
Riley is a student at Virginia Tech, studying Construction Engineering and Management. Riley will work on the City View II multi-family project in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
